Car donated to charity

Automotive group Hendy has donated a car to Wessex Heartbeat.

The firm handed over the keys to a brand-new Kia cee’d SW to Ken Wilde from the charity last week. The Kia will provide a vital lifeline for the charity, helping its events team get to and from important fundraising events.

Ken said: “We are absolutely thrilled with this generous support from Hendy. Our events team has a busy calendar of fundraising events ahead and the car will be so useful helping them get there and set up. In the past we’ve had to transport some quite large items to our events; everything from a garden gazebo to part of a car. So the fact the Kia has lots of space is a real bonus.”

Wessex Heartbeat supports the Wessex Cardiac Centre at Southampton General Hospital, as well as the patients who use it and their families.
