Community pantries give support

Fareham Borough Council is helping to promote the good work of three community pantries which have opened across the borough to help support local people.

Registration to a community pantry allows residents to get their groceries and provisions once a week at a fraction of the cost. The recommended donation is £5 per visit and customers will then receive a minimum of £15 worth of food, including fresh and frozen items, toiletries and household items.

There are three community panties in the borough, at the following locations:

* Waypoint Community Hub — 255 Hunts Pond Road, Titchfield Common, Fareham, PO14 4PG. Tel: 01489 579669 or email help@waypointchurch.org.uk.

* Woodsy’s Pantry — Portchester Hub, 2 New Parade, 38 West Street, Portchester, PO16 9UY. Tel: 023 9221 0048.

* Hampshire Food Revolution Community Pantry — Henry Cort Drive, Fareham, PO15 6TL. hampshirefoodrevolution@gmail.com.

Residents are encouraged to contact their local pantry before they visit to check opening days, times and registration details.
