Portsmouth Greyhound Rescue has been given a £1,000 donation from pet insurance provider Petplan.

The charity are currently refurbishing their largest kennel block to provide the dogs with a modernised safe and secure environment while they wait to be rehomed.

Created in the 1970s by Molly Redpath, the charity is now being looked after by the third and fourth generations of the family, who ensure her vision to provide dogs with a safe and loving rehoming process is continued.

Sarah Redpath, lead volunteer, commented: “The timing of receiving this money could not have been more perfect as it will ensure we can complete the new lighting and electrics in the kennel block providing a much lighter environment for the greyhounds both inside and out.”
