Entries now open for Criterium

Cyclists are being urged to saddle up for one of the south’s biggest cycling events this summer.

Winchester Criterium and Cyclefest will offer a mix of cycling-related activities and high-speed races, supported again by Hargroves Cycles.


The Criterium races are highly regarded by riders and fans, with many travelling from across the UK to attend the event, which takes place right in the heart of Winchester’s historic city centre.


The event takes place on Sunday 9 June.


Entries are now open for those wishing to race in the Criterium with categories ranging from juniors to elite. You can apply for your place at winchestercriterium.org.


Andy Hargroves from Hargroves Cycles said: “This event has become increasingly popular each year and is now a widely recognised event by riders from across the UK.


“We feel privileged to be a part of this fantastic event and the Criterium provides us with an opportunity to engage with children and families across the district to promote such an exciting sport.”


The event be filled with exciting activities for everyone, including a family cycle ride prior to the races.


The Winchester Criterium and Cyclefest Facebook page will provide sneak previews of what will be on offer ahead of the event.
