Extra date for comedy

Such is the demand for tickets, that Chesil Theatre Winchester will be offering an extra preview performance of their comedy A Bunch of Amateurs on Friday 25th January 2019.

This entertaining piece from writers Ian Hislop and Nick Newman follows the experience of a famous but aging Hollywood actor as he visits the UK – he thinks to play King Lear with the Royal Shakespeare Company at Stratford-upon-Avon. His agent has however booked him for an amateur show in the sleepy village of Stratford in rural Suffolk! This is quite a shock for both the conceited, self-satisfied star and his co-actors, with hilarious yet unexpected results.

Noel Thorpe-Tracey will play Jefferson Steel.

A Bunch of Amateurs runs from 25th January to 2nd February with tickets available from www.chesiltheatre.org.uk Following this will be Spotlight on Youth, featuring the Chesil Youth Theatre, on 14th and 15th February.
