A new, free rail shuttle bus provision from Southampton Airport Parkway and Hedge End stations will make it easier - and cheaper - for Hawks fans to get to The Ageas Bowl for this summer’s T20 matches

Hampshire Hawks and The Ageas Bowl are pleased to offer a new, free bus provision for fans travelling to and from all of this summer’s seven Vitality Blast matches at The Ageas Bowl.

Free buses will be available for fans from both Hedge End Station and Southampton Airport Parkway, running before, during and after each T20 match.

Fans travelling on the 8-minute train service from Winchester Station or the 6-minute service from Southampton Central to Southampton Airport Parkway will now have their final leg of the journey made easier – and cheaper - by access to the free shuttle bus provision.

Similarly, the 11-minute trip from Fareham and 31-minute train journey from Portsmouth will also be able to be completed aboard one of the free buses available on T20 matchdays.

Head of Customer Experience at The Ageas Bowl, Greig Stewart said: “Following feedback from members and fans, we are delighted to be able to provide this free service, offering fans a more sustainable travel option while making it even easier and cheaper to get to the ground for Vitality Blast fixtures than ever before. We are looking forward to what promises to be a huge summer of Blast at The Ageas Bowl.’’

This service is the latest new initiative at The Ageas Bowl for this summer’s Vitality Blast, following the announcement of new Vitality Blast Plus tickets last week and will complement the public buses also running on matchdays, with the First Bus 8 running every 30 mins from Southampton City Centre to Hedge End Station via The Ageas Bowl on match days, whilst the Xelabus X4 runs every hour from Eastleigh to Hedge End Town Centre via Moorgreen Hospital which is just outside the ground.

Tickets for this summer’s Vitality Blast go on priority sale – at the discounted Early Bird rate - on Thursday 10thFebruary with fans able to register for access to this priority sale at www.ageasbowl.com/t20 ahead of the general sale commencing in March.

Super Early Bird Passports – which grant admission to all seven Hampshire Hawks matches at The Ageas Bowl in 2022 – are currently available for just £99 and can be purchased by at www.ageasbowl.com/t20.
