Invitation to look behind the scenes at hospital

People will have the opportunity to take a tour behind the scenes at Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust during an annual event.

As part of the Trust’s Annual General Meeting, which will take place at Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital on Tuesday 16th July, members of the public are invited to book a place on special tours, where they can find out more about radiology services, including x-ray, CT, ultrasounds to see first-hand the technology used to care for patients each day.

An interactive exhibition offers the chance to talk to experts from a range of departments. Members of the public can try their hand at a clinical skills test, and learn all about how Hampshire Hospitals is ‘going green’.

Orthopaedic consultant Mr Kevin Conn will host a talk on the evolution of orthopaedic surgery and some of the major advances which are improving the lives of patients.

The free event will take place at The Ark, Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital, on Tuesday 16th July and is open to all, though spaces on radiology tours are limited. The exhibition will get underway from 5.30pm, before the talks begin at 7pm. To book your place on a radiology tour, visit https://hhftradiologytour.eventbrite.co.uk.

An event is also being held directly before the Annual General Meeting for aspiring and current student nurses. Visit http://bit.ly/HHFTAspiringNurses for more information.
