Opportunities in horticulture

Sparsholt College has a wide range of apprenticeship opportunities in horticulture and landscaping, working for employers such as local authorities, private country estates, garden maintenance and landscapers.

Current vacancies span the local area, including Winchester, Southampton, Newbury, Basingstoke, Portsmouth, Eastleigh, Marchwood and Hook.

Apprentices will spend time with employers in the workplace, but also attend college on a day release basis. They will be paid for the work they do, receiving at least the national minimum wage for apprentices and sometimes more, meaning they will end up with qualifications, real work experience and a healthier bank balance.

The college’s Horticulture and Landscaping delivery team are qualified up to degree level, with teaching and assessing qualifications, as well as having previous workplace experience within the Horticulture sector.

They offer a choice of apprenticeships in a wide variety of professions. Visit the apprenticeship section of sparsholt.ac.uk for more information and to view current apprenticeship vacancies.
