Record Early Demand For Hampshire’s 2021 Vitality Blast T20 Matches

Sports fans eager to return to stadiums have been cashing in on savings by securing discounted Early Bird tickets and passports for this summer’s Vitality Blast T20 matches at The Ageas Bowl in greater numbers than ever before.

With a discount of as much as 50% off the on the day ticket price available until the end of March, demand has sky-rocketed and more than twice as many tickets have been snapped up by supporters to this point than in any previous year.

Tickets for Hampshire’s T20 double-header on Friday 16th July – which will see James Vince’s side face Essex Eagles and local rivals Sussex Sharks in ‘el clasicoast’ on the same day – have been in particularly high demand, with the double-header the fastest-selling T20 fixture on record at The Ageas Bowl.

Vitality Blast Early Bird Passports - which allow access to all seven of Hampshire’s action-packed T20 matches at The Ageas Bowl this summer for just £99 as well as a free guest pass for the first home fixture of the summer against Middlesex on Monday 28th June - have also been hugely popular, with more purchased to this point than ever before.

All seven of Hampshire’s home matches will take place after Monday 21st June as part of a bumper schedule of T20 action, with the prospect of crowds returning to The Ageas Bowl set to become a reality as Hampshire aim to reach an eighth Vitality Blast Finals Day.

The significant early demand follows hot-on-the-heels of The Ageas Bowl’s Vitality IT20 between England and Sri Lanka on Saturday 26th June selling out to all non-Hampshire Cricket Members before the commencement of the general sale.

Hampshire Cricket Head of Marketing, Harry Walklin said: ‘The prospect of fans returning to The Ageas Bowl for this year’s Vitality Blast is hugely exciting and something everybody at the venue is really looking forward to. It’s great to see that our excitement is shared by supporters with a record number of fans securing their place at this summer’s T20 matches to this point, all while making significant savings in the process courtesy of our Early Bird tickets and passports.’

Buoyed by Hampshire Cricket’s “Buy With Confidence” commitment, groups of friends, families and colleagues have been booking a date for their summer socials at The Ageas Bowl, safe in the knowledge that should the return of crowds be delayed they will receive a full refund.

Fans can still secure their Vitality Blast tickets and passports at the discounted Early Bird rate until Wednesday 31st March. For more information and to secure tickets and passports at the best possible price, please visit www.ageasbowl.com/cricket.
