Spotlight on D-Day landings

The innovation and wizardry which went into the D-Day landings will come under the spotlight at a special lecture at Stockbridge Town Hall in March.

With the 75th anniversary of the D-Day Landings already attracting attention, author, broadcaster and aviator Paul Beaver will be looking at the preparations.

The talk, entitled ‘Prelude to D-Day – innovation and wizardry’, takes place from 7pm on Wednesday 13th March, with tickets costing £10 each.

This will be the last in the series of outreach lectures, arranged by the Army Flying Museum during its closure for refurbishment, taking place at the Town Hall.

The Army Flying Museum, formerly Museum of Army Flying, closed its doors to the public at the end of October 2018 to undergo a Heritage Lottery funded £2.59million refurbishment to revitalise the attraction.

Space at the Town Hall is more limited than the Museum so be sure to book in advance to avoid disappointment.

For more information, or to purchase tickets visit www.armyflying.com/events or call 01264 781086.
